Registering for Alumni Online

  • What information do I need to register for Alumni Online?
    • Alumni need only their Alumni ID number  (what's this?), Last Name and one of the following pieces of information; Year Graduated, School or Student ID Number to log in for the first time and register. From there, you can create your own username and password.
  • I'm still unable to register for Alumni Online - how do I get more help?

Logging in to Alumni Online

  • I can't remember my login, password, preferred email address, or password hint answer.
    • Click here if you have forgotten your login or password but remember your preferred email address or password hint.
    • Email alumni@umkc.edu for all other information
  • I’m having trouble using my browser on this website.
    For the best possible experience using Alumni Online, it is recommended that you use one of the following browsers:
    • Internet Explorer (version 6 or higher) - if you are experiencing login issues, please try one of the next two browsers.
    • Mozilla Firefox (version 1 or higher)
    • Netscape (version 6 or higher)
    • Other browsers may produce unexpected results with our site.
  • What if I try to login but nothing happens?
  • What do I do if I get an error message?
    • "Incorrect User ID/Password" means that you have entered an incorrect User ID and/or you have entered your Password incorrectly.

  • What if I request my login information but I never receive it?
    Check your email SPAM folder to see if the email was captured there.
    • If you still do not receive your login information contact the Alumni Online Help Desk

My Profile and Contact Information

  • I'm concerned about having my personal information available on the site.
    The privacy of your personal information is our top priority. Areas of the website containing private information are located on a separate, secure server utilizing secure sockets layer (SSL) protection. Also, any areas of the website containing private information can be accessed only by members of Alumni Online via a password protected login. Only you can access and update your personal information. By unchecking the viewable check box in the 'Update Your Profile' section, you can limit what information appears to other alumni in the online directory.
  • When will updates to my personal information take effect?
    With a few exceptions, all changes made to your personal information and to your viewable settings take effect immediately.
  • Are these changes reflected in Alumni Records?
    Changes to your personal data that you submit are reviewed and added to your alumni record. Changes to your viewable settings are for the Online Directory only.
  • What if I do not want my information to display?
    You should uncheck the viewable check box adjacent to any data you wish to prevent other alumni from viewing. Please note that these changes will only block information from being displayed and will not permanently delete this information from Alumni Records.
  • Who can see my email address?
    By default, your email address is hidden in Alumni Online. To enable other alumni to view your email address, you can set the email address field to “viewable”. Other alumni can send you email even if your email address is hidden.

Using Alumni Online

  • How can I send an email to someone in the directory? 
    Email addresses are defaulted to “hidden” in the directory.  Each person has the ability to unhide his/her own email address.  However, you can still send an email to someone whose address is hidden. Go to the person’s profile, then click on “Email this person.”  Fill in your message and then click "Submit."
